Directions to Casa Pancho Rústica

Cidra Puerto Rico

From the Luís Muñoz Marín International Airport start anticipating relaxing in the Mountains of Central Puerto Rico. Take a deep breath, blow it out real slow and follow Route #26 west towards San Juan. Follow Route #26 approximately four miles where you will take the exit into the Tunel Minillas (Minillas Tunnel). You will now be traveling South on Route #18. Keep in the left lanes where Route #18 and Route #52 will curve to the left and continue South. Route #18 will end and merge into Route #52.

Follow Route #52 to Salida #21 (Exit #21). From the ramp make a right turn on to Route #172 oeste (west). Be very careful here! The first right will take you into the hospital. A few feet past the Hospital entrance merge right on to the main road.

Follow Route #172 oeste up over the mountain. At the top you will see a Gulf gas station. You are on the right road and getting close to a wonderful time at Casa Pancho Rústica. Stop here at the gas station and do some more breathing exercises. We want you totally relaxed when you arrive. Continue for about three miles where you will cross a bride and then very shortly see the Cidra Plaza on the left. On the right will be Berrios Furniture Show Room—colorful but not Rustic mind you! At the traffic light make a right.

A few thousand feet you will cross another bridge over Lago de Cidra (Cidra Lake). Roll down you window and toss you last remaining bits of stress into the lake. Immediately after the bridge make a left turn at the light onto Route #7773. Cross over Route #734. Follow Route #7773 past a factory and a Shell Gas Station, both on your right. Just past the Shell Station you will cross over Route #171. Continue following Route #7773 for several tenths of a mile to a stop sign. Make a left turn onto Route #173.

Route #173 is a mountain road that has a lot of blind curves. Proceed with caution! Follow route #173 several miles to La Cumbre Restaurant and Bar. Right beside the bar you will make a right turn onto Route #7775. Again this is a narrow road where caution is primary. Follow #7775 (one mile). On your right there is a white house. On the left are two roads one at a 90 degree angle the other in the middle. The middle road leads into the Sector Almirante.

Follow the middle road for 1/10^th of a mile to the second main gate on your left. Note: if you see a cement retaining wall beside the gate, You Made It to Casa Pancho Rústica. We, Míguel and Robert will be awaiting your arrival.
