Synergy Writing Workshop Retreat

Combining Personal Envisioning & Muse

(Writing Workshops/Tour/Lodging Package)

A get away retreat for inspiring writers of any genre. Participating in our Synergy Writing Workshops will enhance your muse and personal envisioning. Without distractions your creativity will start flowing and there will be time to relax and do some sightseeing.

Sample five day Synergy Writing Workshop Retreat

Day One ~ Wine and Cheese Reception: Be treated to a wine and cheese "Get Acquainted Reception" in the evening after you arrive at Casa Pancho Rústica. A time for you to get to know your hosts, workshop coordinators, and tour guide (we wear a lot of different hats) and each other. Also share about your writing accomplishments and goals.

Day Two ~ Personal Envisioning Workshop: Three hour workshop which will train you to practice Personal Envisioning. First your Workshop Coordinator will share with you his own positive experience in Personal Envisioning. Then each person will have an opportunity to envision their own future in a tangible exercise.

Day Three ~ Inspiration in the "Finca" Workshop: Writing inspiration does not always come sitting in front of a computer. This three hour workshop with consist of doing it the old fashioned way with paper and pen. While hiking in the "Finca" (Farm) we will stop at selected locations and you will be given an assignment to write. The tranquility of nature is a wonderful inspirational tool.

Day Four ~ Inspirational Excursion: Choose either a hiking tour to San Cristobal Canyon or a driving tour to Baños de Coamo. Soaking in the thermal waters of Baños de Coamo or being immersed deep in the canyon are both adventures to write stories about. Each tour lasts from mid-morning till late afternoon.

Day Five ~ Seven Mini Workshops In One: In this three to four hour workshop you will be given seven different writing exercises that will help you enhance your muse and keep it flowing.

Your First Workshop Assignment

Write a short story inspired by the photo above. Keep your story in the range of 2,500 to 3,000 words. Bring a paper copy of your story with you to be read aloud to the other participants during the "Get Acquainted Reception."
